Q: How did you discover blockchain technology and what caught your interest?
A: My brother’s college roommate was investing in Ethereum in college, and I found out about it from him. He was a pretty smart guy, so I took interest and followed his lead. Looking into the technology and the speculation behind it, I was sucked into the cryptoverse.
Q: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?
A: Getting in the water and going for a surf, playing pickle-ball, volleyball, or just beaching it.
Q: Why did you join Metallicus and what do you love about working here?
A: I heard a lot about how great the company was from my cousin who was working here. I really love working with the great people, cool products, and awesome industry. The culture is also amazing. Everyone works really hard but never takes things way too seriously. You can really be yourself.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
A: Too many to choose from, but so far I’ve loved Southeast Asia. Lots of great cultures, inexpensive, and world-class surf.
Q: Can you describe a typical day in your role at Metallicus?
A: First thing is checking my calendar and messages to make sure I know what my day will look like and be sure to help anyone who needs questions/assistance. Then I post my daily standup, work until a meeting. Usually get lunch whenever I’ve hit a good stopping point in my workflow, and then resume coding until the end of the day.
Q: What is a book, movie, or TV show that has made a significant impact on your life?
A: Extreme Ownership and Total Recall.
